The Management and staff of the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly (NiPDA) ended their working activities with an end of year party at the Golden Beach resort in Prampram on Wednesday 22nd December 2021. The get together was organized by the staff welfare association. The party was well attended by top management and the staff of the District Assembly to strengthen the working relationship between management and staff.
Activities that took place were eating of apples, musical chairs, dancing competition, pick and act, amongst others. These activities were competitively between the various departments; Works, Accounts, Human Resource, Administration, Procurement, Finance, Audit.
In his opening remarks, the Coordinating Director of the Assembly, Mohammed Avona charged staffs to ensure the year 2022 to be more productive so as to achieve success in all endeavors. The District Chief Executive of NiPDA, Hon. AL-Latiff Amanor Tetteh expressed his gratitude to management and staff for the warm reception given him when he assumed office as the new DCE. He urged all to work in unity to achieve the visions of the president irrespective of their political affiliations. In his view, the Assembly is above tribal issues. The Ningo- Prampram rivalry has overly affected development in the district, he noted. And is time to ensure unity prevails. He admonished that traditional authorities must welcome projects brought to the district for execution instead of fighting over where projects should be sited. Addressing the surge in the COVID Virus, Hon. Amanor Tetteh made it known to all present that the virus is real. Therefore all the safety protocols should be strictly enforced to protect lives. “Many have disregarded the Covid protocols and going about their normal activities”. He charged that washing of hands and wearing of the nose mask should be done regularly, to curb the spreading of the virus. The end of year though organized by the staff welfare association, some departments and individuals who sponsored were given recognition.
