Melcom Care Donates Clinic and Office Block to Ningo-Prampram District Assembly.

Melcom care, as part of its corporate social responsibility has donated a clinic (CHPS Compound) and an office block to the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly on Friday 29th July, 2022 at Dawhenya.
The two institutions, partnered to bring quality health care delivery closer to the doorsteps of the people, improve health accessibility as well as deepen the decentralization process of the local government.
The District Chief Executive, (DCE) for the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, Hon. AL-Latiff Tetteh Amanor, welcomed and addressed the gathering. He said , “I deemed it a great pleasure to welcome all to this memorable occasion. This unique occasion offers us the golden opportunity to commission these magnificent decentralization and health delivery infrastructure.”
Also, the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly will continue to provide health delivery facilities at the doorsteps of the inhabitants as well as facilities to enhance the decentralization process in the district, for which reason the Dawhenya CHPS compound and the Prampram Area Council have been constructed as witnessed.
Ladies and gentlemen, these facilities were built through a partnership with Melcom Ghana Limited. We as a people of Dawhenya and its environs as well as the entire Ningo-Prampram District Assembly wish to express our gratitude to the management of Melcom Ghana Limited for the partnership of which the end result is mutually beneficial.
Hon. Amanor appealed to the District Health Directorate and staff to cultivate a good maintenance culture to ensure cleanliness and longevity of the equipment that the facility would be resourced with.
At the commissioning of the projects, the Group Director of Communications, Melcom Group of Companies Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo mentioned, that “the official handing-over ceremony has been postponed a few times and as far I can recall twice in the recent past.
The recent change in the dates to this day has coincided with the oversea official engagement of the Joint Group Managing Director Mr. Mahesh Melwani; as a result, he is out of the country. He has however sent a high-powered delegation to represent him and the management.”
Mr. Avenorgbo opined that the group of companies engaged in the provision of services to satisfy needs, recognize that human resource safety, security and convenience have become areas of prioritization for the outreach projects that they undertake.
Melcom recognizes your hard work and that’s why we have partnered to make these facilities available to aid the development process in which the assembly is engaged.
“In the area of quality health delivery services, the property has provisions for; a Theatre Room, Sterilization Room, Changing Room, OPD, Scan Office, Family Planning Department, Laboratory & Physician Lobby.
Melocm has ensured that these properties are legally connected with running water by the Ghana water company, Electricity by the Electricity Company of Ghana, to all the Rooms, Pharmacy, Delivery Room, And Nursing Room among others.” He stated.
In addition, we are donating a separate block to be used as offices by the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, and are both provided with septic tanks for proper hygienic storage and disposal of waste.
Attending the commission ceremony were Nene Tetteh Wakah III, the Paramount chief and President of Prampram Traditional Council, and his entourage, representatives from the Great Ningo Traditional Council, Presiding Member for the Assembly Hon. Solomon Djangmah, District Coordinating Director, Mr. Bernard Mats Yingura, Assembly members, and officials from the District Health Directorate.
