DCE, NPP CANDIDATE AND B5 PLUS LTD DONATES TO VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS

The Ningo Prampram District Assembly led by the DCE, Hon. Jonathan Teye Doku in collaboration with B5 PLUS LIMITED has donated bags of 12.5 kilogram rice and a bag of assorted items each, comprising tin fish, tin tomatoes, milk powder, sugar, cooking oil, hand sanitizers, nose mask and detergents to a total of 300 vulnerable individuals and families in 3 communities namely Ningo, Prampram and Dawhenya.

The donation was in response to a request put forward by the DCE and the NPP Parliamentary candidate of the area Hon. Alex Martey.

At Old Ningo Presbyterian church, a total of 100 individuals who were selected in consultation with their various Assemblymen, Political and Traditional leaders, were given the items, they were grateful to the team for the kind gesture.

Similar presentations were made at the St. Joseph Anglican Church in Prampram, and the Apostolic Church in Dawhenya.

The DCE in presenting the items reminded the community members that the company, B5 PLUS, a steel production company was registered under the IDIF project, he said he was happy when the company agreed to their request to support the needy and vulnerable during this difficult period of the partial lockdown to mitigate the spread of the corona virus(COVID 19) he added, it was a humanitarian role and encouraged other companies within the District to emulate the example of B5 PLUS LTD.

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Mr. Alex. Martey admonished the community members to abide by the Government protocols in reducing the spread of the disease, he educated them about the reality of COVID-19 and urged them to wash their hands regularly, use sanitizers, practice social distancing and use face masks as practicable as possible.

Jijo Sabastian, the Head of Audit at B5 PLUS LTD said the company believes in giving back to the society , he said management sees the donation as an opportunity to get to know potential customers in their jurisdiction in a bid to serve them better,

Earlier on Saturday, about 200 families and individuals also received similar packages in Tsopoli and Lakpleku bringing the total number to about 500 beneficiaries.
