We write to inform you that the Government of Ghana, through the National Scholarship
Secretariat has, effective 1st January, 2019, decentralized its scholarship application process to the
District Assemblies all over the country.
The rationale, is to bring scholarship opportunities closer to the grassroots geared towards
equitable distribution of opportunities in the country for national development.
Interested and qualified applicants are to provide copies of the following documents.
I. An application letter
II. Copy of Admission Letter
III. Student Identification Card
IV. Current Transcript
V. Current School Fees Bill
VI. Any Other Relevant Document
The letter must be addressed as follows:

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet these requirements:
I. Be a Ghanaian and resident in Ghana
II. Should have gained admission into any local tertiary institution such as:
a. Nurses/Teachers Training Colleges
b. Agricultural colleges

c. Polytechnics
d. Technical Universities
e. And any other University, both public and private
III. Applicant must NOT be in the final year of study
Interviews for all applicants would be scheduled between May,2019 to June 2019 to enable the
District committee select and facilitate recommendations to the National Scholarship Secretariat
for final approval.
