The Ghana Navy with the leadership of the Ningo Prampram District Assembly met with Chief Fishermen of both Ningo and Prampram to announce their presence in the area, the meeting became necessary in order to intensify their surveillance role on the nation’s territorial waters in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19, they were also poised to arrest suspicious characters plying the coastal areas.The team reiterate the need for all people in the district to abide by the directive of His Excellency the President, noting that the directives can be well achieved when there is proper collaboration among stakeholders.The DCE Hon Jonathan Teye Doku encouraged the fishermen to feel free to report any strange persons moving on the coastal areas of the district as they go to sea to fish, The DCE also outlined the many interventions undertaken by the District in the bid to curb the spread of the disease.
