The Opharns and Vulnerable Children organization has charged a three-member committee to come out with an action plan which subsequently would be adopted as a working document for the organization, to promote the welfare of children for the year 2022.
The committee was formed by the District Child and Family Welfare Committee( DCFWC) on Wednesday 15th December 2021 at their final annual meeting. The members are representatives from various departments working within the district. The composition for the committee comprised; Community Development Unit (CDU), National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES).The committee is to speedily submit their report within 2 weeks in order to guide the various subcommittees’s to come out with activities that will be beneficial to the children and the community at large. Various representatives at the meeting expressed their expectations towards the coming year and therefore asked all and sundry to contribute their quota in helping the district to address some children and family welfare issues confronting the community.
