About This Service
Birth registration is a fundamental right and a legal requirement in Ghana. The birth certificate is an essential document that establishes a person's legal identity, age, citizenship, and parentage. It is required for school enrollment, passport applications, national ID registration, and many other life events.
The Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, in collaboration with the Births and Deaths Registry, facilitates birth registration for all residents of the district. We encourage parents to register births within one year to avoid the late registration process.
