About This Service
All businesses operating within the Ningo-Prampram District are required by law to obtain an operating permit or business license issued by the District Assembly. This permit ensures that businesses meet local planning, safety, and regulatory standards and that they contribute to the formal economy of the district.
The permit must be renewed annually. The fee structure varies depending on the nature, size, and category of the business. Our offices will guide you through the applicable fee schedule during your application.

Steps to Apply
Obtain the Application Form
Visit the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly offices at Prampram during working hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to collect the business permit application form. A member of staff will advise you on the applicable permit category and fee band for your type of business.
Submit with All Required Documents
Return the completed application form along with all required supporting documents. The officer will review your submission and schedule a site inspection if the business premises have not been previously inspected.
Pay the Inspection Fee
Pay the applicable inspection fee at the Finance Department upon submission. You will receive an official receipt. The inspection fee is separate from the permit fee, which is payable upon approval.
Await Site Inspection
An inspection team from the Assembly's Physical Planning and Works departments will visit your business premises to assess compliance with zoning, safety, and operational standards. Ensure the premises are accessible and fully set up during this period.
Collect Your Permit Upon Approval
Once the inspection report is approved, pay the business permit fee and collect your official operating license within 14–21 working days of the initial application. Display the permit prominently at your place of business.
