Health Department

Primary Healthcare & Disease Prevention

The Health Department, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, coordinates the delivery of primary healthcare services across all communities in the Ningo-Prampram District. The department oversees health facilities, implements national health programmes, and leads public health promotion campaigns to improve the health status of residents.

The district has made significant strides in expanding healthcare access, with the department conducting regular outreach programmes, immunisation campaigns, and health screenings. A free rabies vaccination exercise conducted in October 2025 exemplifies the department's commitment to protecting both human and animal health within the district.
