District Structure

How Departments Are Organised

The Assembly's departments are organised under six sub-committees of the Executive Committee, each overseeing a cluster of related sectors and units. This structure ensures coordinated service delivery and clear lines of accountability across all areas of governance.

The sub-committees — Finance & Administration, Development Planning, Social Services, Works, Justice & Security, and Environmental — each report to the Executive Committee chaired by the District Chief Executive (DCE), with the District Coordinating Director (DCD) serving as Secretary.

Manages administration, records, estate, transport, procurement, stores, development planning, budget, and security coordination for the Assembly.

Human Resource Management

Handles recruitment & staffing, training & development, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and HR planning.

NADMO

Disaster Prevention (NADMO)

Leads disaster preparedness, emergency response, risk reduction, refugee services, and coordination of relief during natural and man-made disasters.

Oversees school management, teacher support, educational standards, youth and sports sections, and academic development across the district.

Social Welfare & Community Dev.

Promotes social welfare, disability support, women empowerment, and community development initiatives throughout the district.

Coordinates primary healthcare, disease surveillance, environmental health, birth and death registration, and public health awareness.
