District Directorate of Education

The Ghana Education Service (GES) District Directorate oversees the management and development of education from pre-school to senior high school level within the Ningo-Prampram District. The directorate works in close collaboration with the District Assembly to improve educational infrastructure, quality, and access for all learners.

The district has numerous public and private pre-schools, primary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools serving its growing population. The GES directorate supports teachers, monitors school performance, and implements national educational policies and programmes in the district.

Key Functions

Supervision and management of all public schools from pre-school to SHS level

Teacher recruitment support, deployment, and professional development coordination

Implementation of national education policies, curriculum, and reform programmes

School inspection and educational quality assurance visits

Coordination of scholarship and bursary programmes for students in the district

Management of school feeding programme in eligible schools

BECE and WASSCE examination coordination and supervision

Special education and inclusive learning support services
